Christmas time's a comin'

Just a little "rerun" from a year ago today.... my camera's compact flash card bit the dust and haven't had the chance to get a new one, so I thought I would re-post some pictures from Christmas 2009.
We had quite a bit of snow when I took these pictures, and although it has been snowing here on and off for the past three days, we haven't had enough to measure. (Yet...)
Just seeing these again helped me get into the Christmas Spirit a little more - hope you enjoy them the second time around too!

  7. Oh wow, I think you might have almost more snow than we do right now! That was my FIRST thought!

My second (and all consecutive thoughts), was you've got some beautiful decorations in your home ~ and I especially love the huge wreath on the barn.

But my favourite picture is the cardinal. Absolutly exquisite ~ and so naturally Christmasy!! I wish we had those up here.

  12. Even though I lived on a farm for a couple years, and so know all the hard work and bad times, I think the great times and honesty of the farm outweighs everything else. These pics are idyllic indeed, and look fabulous. Now wheres my pitchfork?

  24. Paula - you should have your own Christmas cards made this year. The old rake with a big red bow, the red tractor in the shed, your husband putting the wreath up, the cardinal! They'd all make terrific personal Christmas cards! Great photos, girl!

  25. Hey Paula-I see that you left a ton of comments on my blog. Girl your eyes must be exhausted catching up! I can see from your pictures that you have been busy too. I love the wreath on the barn and all the pics of the farm animals in the snow. If I want to see snow, guess I will have to come to your blog and see it because it looks like we are not going to see any for awhile. Rats! Good day for knitting and drinking nice hot tea or hot chocolate with marshmallows. Can you tell I am jealous of your snow? How are the beehives doing in the winter?

  29. Oh, Miss Paula!

Everything is just beautiful! I love, love your plates and placemats!!!!!

And how sweet that your hubby puts that big ole pretty wreath up for all to see! Do you ever think that the animals might think that he's putting it up for them? Or IS he?!?!? Hmmmmm....

Would you mind blowing some of that snow down here to my house?!?
Our children would REALLY, REALLY appreciate it! Thanks!

    Merry Christmas,

  38. I think I should keep this posting up on my screen for motivational purposes!! I got called to stay home today because of no electric at work and I'm spinning wheels a bit as to what I should work on. The weather is yucky, so that ruled out shopping, which is good anyway, as I didn't have a plan! It is snowing, sleeting, raining, and thundering! Your cardinal picture reminds me that my feeders aren't out yet, but I think it is really blowing too hard right now..but in the next few days.. haven't seen our cardinals yet..soon..
